Carparts has 20 jobber/retail stores located in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine.

Hahn Automotive Warehouse, a Rochester, New York-based corporation and Carparts Distribution Center Inc., a Plaistow, New Hampshire-based company, have signed a definitive agreement for Hahn to acquire Carparts. Both Hahn and Carparts are warehouse distributors of aftermarket automotive parts.

Stan Lewis, Carparts’ president, will continue with the company following the completion of the transaction. Terms of the transaction, which is expected to close on or about Dec. 27, were not disclosed.

Carparts’ main warehouse location is in Plaistow, New Hampshire, along with 20 jobber/retail stores located in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine. Hahn and Carparts are both members of the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance Inc., a leading international buying and marketing association. Hahn decided to acquire Carparts based on Carparts’ performance as a well-managed company with a commitment to growth and customer service in the New England market.

Maggie Maleno, longtime shareholder of Carparts, said, “I am thrilled our family business is going from my family to another family business. It was important for my employees to have a welcoming place to work.”

Lewis added, “We are extremely pleased to be joining Hahn to continue with the business of the combined Hahn/Carparts entity. This combination provides significant opportunities for growth for our customers, including enhanced sales and marketing efforts throughout the New England area.”
